Local Moving in Reno
Free, No-Obligation Estimate
Moves across Reno and Sparks done right. Expect a family-owned company running the job with the same trained crew, a fair rate by the hour or a written flat number, plus the gate pass, HOA move-in rules, or long hillside driveway squared away well before we roll up.
Local Moving in Reno
Looking for movers who actually know their way around Reno? Licensed and insured across Nevada, Peerless Moving Assistance has worked the Reno-Sparks area since 2013, and Cora and Joe put their own trained crew on every job, nothing farmed out to a broker and no day-labor grabbed off a gig app that morning. You get one crew for the whole job, and one plain number that covers it.
What sets it apart
Out here the boxes are rarely what makes or breaks a move. What matters is the long hillside driveway up in Somersett or Caughlin Ranch, the gated community that wants a gate pass and HOA move-in rules on file, whatever certificate of insurance a building requires, and the snow or ice on the grades climbing toward Tahoe. Cora settles all of that beforehand, so moving day ends up being the easy part.
How to get set
- Clear out and donate whatever is not making the trip
- Number your boxes by room and mark the fragile ones
- Sort the gate pass, HOA move-in rules, or parking ahead
- Break down beds and empty dressers the night before
- Keep your papers, keys, and valuables on you
What shapes your price
- How much is coming and the home size
- Distance across Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding area
- Foothill driveways, stairs, and the carry length
- The day of the week, season, and weather
- Packing and any specialty pieces

Three Steps to Moving Day
From the first hello to the final box carried in and set down in the room where it belongs.
Tell Us About the Move
Run through your move with Cora and the Peerless team, whether by phone, a short video call, or the online form. Cora can also swing by for an in-home estimate, and back comes a fair hourly rate or a written flat quote, never a soft number that swells once the truck is loaded.
Lock In Your Date
Claim your day and we assign the right crew and truck, then square away the gate pass and HOA move-in rules your community asks for, any building certificate of insurance, and room for the truck on a long hillside driveway.
We Carry the Load
The same trained Peerless crew wraps, loads, drives, and places every piece, and we plan the run around I-80, US-395, McCarran Boulevard, and the Mount Rose Highway to keep the day on schedule.

What Our Customers Say
Amazing and affordable They were very gentle with the packages and made sure nothing was damaged Would definitely recommend them
Cora and the Peerless team did a fantastic job with our move! The guys that came out were polite and professional! They wrapped and protected everything great. Will use them again!
First impression, over the phone, of the owner, Cora, was of someone who wanted my business and would work to accommodate my needs. She and her husband showed up on time, and exceeded my expectations. I was scrambling with last minute things to do, and they required none of my attention after telling them what was going. The price could not be beat, and neither can the dedication of the owners. Thanks you two!
Questions We Hear a Lot
What will my move cost?
Two things drive it: the volume you are moving and how tricky the access turns out to be on each end. A crew of two with a truck starts at $110/hr, and a written estimate is in your hands before a single box is lifted. Want one locked figure instead? Cora can set a flat quote, and the number she names is the number on your invoice. Cross a state line and the math shifts over to weight and mileage.
My home is in the Old Southwest, a narrow older lot with mature trees. Can you handle it?
That is a lot of what we do. The Newlands-area streets near the Truckee River are full of established homes on tight lots with big shade trees and older staircases, and the Peerless crew is used to snug turns, low branches, and a longer carry from the curb. We measure the doorways and stairs ahead of time, pad the rails and jambs, and take the heavy pieces slowly. A foothill home with a long, steep driveway gets the same planning, so an older house or a hillside lot never turns into a problem.
When does the hourly clock start?
Timing begins when the Peerless crew starts working at your door, not from the moment we left the yard. Once the first hour is behind you, we bill each minute as it comes, so seventy minutes reads as seventy on the bill and never gets bumped up to a flat two hours. We also lay out the rate and where drive time fits in before the first box leaves the floor.
My community is gated and needs a gate pass, HOA move-in rules, and a certificate of insurance. Can you handle that?
Yes, and it is routine for us. Plenty of Reno communities, Somersett, ArrowCreek, and the master-planned neighborhoods in South Reno, ask for a gate pass, set move-in hours, and sometimes a certificate of insurance on file before move day. Send us the community’s requirements when you book, and we arrange the gate access, follow the HOA rules, and file any COI, so nothing holds you up at the gate on moving day.
I’m relocating to Reno from another state. Can you help?
For sure, a good part of our work is people arriving in the Reno area, many from California and the tech moves out at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center. We lock the delivery window, meet you at the new place, and handle the gate pass, the HOA move-in rules, or the long hillside driveway from our end. One crew rides with your shipment the whole trip, so it never gets bounced to whichever outfit bid cheapest that week.
Can I move or cancel my date?
Of course. Let us know at least two days ahead to shift or cancel your date and the full deposit comes back. Each condition appears in plain words on your booking, so there is nothing to guess at.
